Applause erupted as 18 athletes and their families celebrated the end of an adaptive fitness competition season at Fiesta Brava on May 29, an event that closed out a journey that culminated in participation at the ABLE Games in Fargo in May.

The Fergus Falls Otters topped the Willmar Cardinals in an 11-inning battle between two teams refusing to lose. Despite being outhit 11–6, the Otters walked it off in the bottom of the 11th, sealing a trip to the Section 8AAA Finals on June 5.
The Section 8AA Champion Track & Field Meet took place over the course of two days, May 28 and 31, with the Fergus Falls Otters qualifying athletes on both the boys' and girls' teams on both days of competition.
