Man in Custody After Broad Daylight Stabbing on Frith Road, Croydon ??? Police Confirm Ongoing Incident CROYDON, SOUTH LONDON ??? Saturday, 31 May 2025 ??? A man has been arrested following a broad daylight stabbing on Frith Road in Croydon this morning, Metropolitan Police have confirmed. Officers were called to the scene at 09:07hrs following reports of a stabbing incident in a busy area near Surrey Street Market. Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and London???s Air Ambulance, remain in attendance. Crime Scene in Place A crime scene cordon has been set up on Frith Road, near the Subway restaurant and Holiday Inn Express, as police carry out forensic investigations. In a brief update, the Met Police stated: ???Police were called to Frith Road at 09:07hrs on Saturday, 31 May following reports of a stabbing. Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London???s Air Ambulance are in attendance. A man is currently in custody and a cordon remains in place at the location.??? Fast-Moving Investigation Police say the situation remains fast-moving and have not confirmed the number of victims or the severity of injuries involved. A spokesperson said more information will be shared with the media as soon as possible. Frith Road and the surrounding area remain busy with Saturday shoppers, and of the public are being asked to avoid the location to allow emergency services to operate safely.
