Black Voice News Wins Three, 1st Place California Journalism Awards
Black Voice News won first place in three categories and second place in a fourth category at the California Journalism Awards, including Photo Story/Essay, Audience/Community Engagement Award and Informational Graphic, and was named a finalist in two other categories.

Good Black Jobs
As a way to further efforts to mitigate challenges facing these communities, BVN is highlighting Black- owned businesses and the institutions that them. The series will consist of stories, photo essays, and pop-up newsroom events that center on the lived experiences of Black-owned business owners and workers in the region.
